Fundraising

ATS PTA fundraising activities not only support programs for parents and students, but also provide resources to our teachers and staff, including grants to teachers for professional development and supplementary classroom activities.

Book Fair

One of the best way to support your school's reading efforts and also raise funds. Vendors bring in their offerings for elementary school children. It's a great way to find books that are age appropriate for your child. The profit from the sales are divided between the PTA and the "scholarships" for some children to purchase books at the fair. Shop for your children, shop for gifts, or you could shop for a donation to your child's classroom or the library.

If you are interested in helping with the Book Fair, please contact Merrie Wood, Margie Ayers (mltayers@verizon.net) or Kerry Weaver (kmackweaver@gmail.com).

Box Tops for Education

General Mills prints special bright pink Box Tops on a wide array of the food and household products they produce, from granola bars to diapers, school supplies to detergent. Each of these Box Tops is worth 10 cents to participating schools. Box Tops for Education has helped America's schools earn over $175 million in just over 10 years.  At ATS, the Box Tops program is run by the Student Council Association (SCA) and the PTA. ATS families and classrooms collect Box Tops throughout the year and turn them in each Fall and Spring.

Thanks to the combined efforts of ATS students and families, SCA representatives and advisors, classroom teachers and the PTA, ATS collected 9,878 Box Tops (that’s $987.80 for ATS) during the 2010-11 school year. And the money that ATS classrooms earn through the Box Tops program stays in the classroom.

The next Box Tops submission deadline is Friday, November 18, 2011, so keep clipping those valuable little pink Box Tops, making sure they haven’t expired and being careful not to clip off the expiration date.  And be sure to check out Box Top's collection sheets for a new tool to make collecting Box Tops fun and easy.

Remember, every Box Top counts.

Brick Program

The 30th anniversary is a great time to buy a brick for the ATS Courtyard.

Your tax deductible gift is a wonderful way to support your school and commemorate your family's time at ATS or to show thanks to teachers, coaches, scout leaders or staff. 4 x 8 bricks with three lines of copy are $85. 8 x 8 bricks with six lines of copy are $160.

To order, fill out

Sign up early because some of the stores start their program in August. The more people sign up, the more dollars ATS gets!! Ask friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers to join. Last year ATS earned $3,000 from this program. Other schools earn up to $10,000. Don't forget to re-register each year!

Silent Auction

Each year the families of ATS come together to celebrate and raise funds to support the PTA and our Teachers & Staff.

On February 26, 2011, over 150 parents attended the “80s Gala”and had a great time reliving the music and fashion of that decade. And through the generosity of our ATS community and local business owners, we generated funds to support the many fun & educational activities at the school, including:

From the Teachers Wish Lists:
  • SMARTboards
  • IPads / iPods
  • Educational Games
Activities Sponsored by the PTA:
  • Reading Challenge
  • Reflections  Program
  • ATS Garden & Outdoor Learning
  • Field Trips
  • Math & Science Days
  • Junior Great Books
Please Get Involved!

There are many opportunities to support this important fundraising event. Please consider donating your time, skills and experience to support the 2012 Auction.
