Meet Your PTA

Our Mission and Goals

The PTA seeks to be:

    * A powerful voice for all children,
    * A relevant resource for families and communities, and
    * A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

The PTA works in partnership with teachers and staff to make our school a second home for every child. It serves as a forum where parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhoods.  Some of our most popular events include the Reflections program, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Night, International Night, holiday programs, Fall Festival, Teacher Appreciation Week, teacher luncheons, and a silent auction.

Communication is important to us. The PTA Executive Board meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. These meetings are open to all. Additional general PTA meetings are scheduled throughout the year (please see the website calendar).  This website and our weekly e-newsletter keep parents informed of issues and events. The PTA also produces a yearbook and the Page & Pen, an annual literary magazine of student work.
