Meet Mabel Gabig

Hi everyone! I’m Mabel Gabig, mom to Connor in 2nd grade. My husband Nate and I have lived in the DMV area most of our lives and met right here in Arlington, which makes being part of the ATS community feel especially meaningful to us.

This is my first year serving on the PTA Board as your Auction Co-Chair. In this role, I help lead one of our biggest fundraisers of the year—bringing families together, building community, and raising critical funds to support our school, teachers, and students. This year, I was also proud to help ATS secure a grant to create a school mascot, and I can’t wait to see the school spirit and sense of community it will inspire.

I’m a registered nurse at INOVA, and when I’m not working, volunteering, or driving Connor to sports, you can usually find me at the gym, out hiking with my family, traveling (especially to the Caribbean!), or spending time with family friends—my favorite way to recharge.

What I love most about ATS is how deeply the staff and teachers care about truly knowing each child as an individual. It’s clear that everyone here wants our kids to feel happy, supported, and set up to succeed, and I’m grateful to be part of such a thoughtful and connected school community.
