We're Thankful for our ATS All Star Teachers & Staff!

Last month, ATS was once again rated the #1 Public Elementary School in the state of Virginia by Niche.com! As we all know, this is a testament to our amazing teachers, staff, and school leadership who work hard every day to ensure our children succeed. The PTA will be celebrating this achievement with lunch and treats for staff on Monday, November 24th.

In addition to lunch, we'd like to "chalk the walk" with congratulatory messages from students to our staff.

Please come to ATS on Sunday, November 23rd between 3-4pm to chalk messages outside the front door and walkways. We know this will be a fun surprise for staff to see on Monday morning. The PTA will provide the chalk!

Reflections 2025: I Belong!

We received more than 240 submissions for this year's PTA Reflections program. As in previous years, Visual Arts was our most popular category with over 120 entries, followed by Literature with more than 60 entries. Photography, Film Production, and Music Composition each received between 14 and 18 entries, while Dance Choreography doubled from last year, increasing from 3 to 6 submissions.

Thank you to all teachers and parents for your support throughout this process. While some older students may have managed everything independently, many students relied on your guidance, from understanding this year's theme and submission guidelines to completing entry forms and securing them to their physical artwork.

Because Reflections follows national PTA guidelines and involves judges outside of ATS, the submission process can be somewhat formal and detailed. In the coming years, we will explore ways to simplify the process, especially for online submissions. Our goal is to make participation as easy as possible for teachers and parents, while ensuring students continue to enjoy and explore their creative talents. Please stay tuned for updates!
